On this project, I was responsible for:

Team organization and task management
-
Contact with outside resources for additional assets
-
Managing team documentation & project deadline turn-ins
-
Extensive bug testing & documentation both with outside testers and by myself
-
Designing game systems in conjunction with other designers/programmers

Managing A Team
Scarf Cats was both the first project I’ve worked on with such a high number of teammates and the first game I’ve worked on where my role was first, foremost, and nearly exclusively in production. We developed a team structure where the team at large was split into smaller teams for art, design, and programming, each with their own team lead. Every meeting the team leads would check in with me, and additionally I was available almost always for any team member to ask questions. We made use of a Trello document for our team members to keep up on top of their tasks.
Handling Production
What I found to be the most enjoyable part of the project was definitely the production aspect. I handled almost all check-ins, turn-ins, paperwork, and documentation for the project. My favorite part was when a team member would realize that a deadline had come and gone for a sprint project review and they’d contact the group worried, only for me to let them know it was already done and turned in. It made me very happy that I was able to make it so my team didn’t have to worry about anything except their roles which made them much more productive.

Testing
For this project I was the primary tester of our game, and I often had other people playtest builds and give their feedback. I would constantly test the game, and especially so before our weekly build deadline, cooperating closely with the other members of the team and letting them know when I found things that needed to be fixed or changed.
